EVOH films are also difficult to recycle because the EVOH oxygen barrier layer sandwiched between two or more PE layers has a tendency to gum up when reprocessed, resulting in holes in the recycled PE film. EVOH is a new type of barrier material with better gas barrier properties than PA (Polyamide) is 100 times higher, 10,000 times higher than PE and PP, and dozens of times higher than PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride), a commonly used high-barrier material. In addition, EVOH has excellent transparency, gloss, mechanical strength, stretchability, abrasion resistance, cold resistance and surface strength.
